PNC Q2 2026: FirstBank Integration Complete, NII Guidance Raised to +15-15.5% Full Year; CET1 Drops 70bps to 9.9%

PNC's Q2 2026 results reflect the first full quarter of FirstBank operations, with net interest income reaching $4.1 billion (up 4% QoQ) and capital markets and advisory revenue accelerating sharply on M&A advisory strength. The board raised the quarterly dividend 18% to $2.00 per share — the clearest signal management has on capital adequacy confidence post-acquisition — even as CET1 compressed from 10.6% to 9.9%, absorbing $2.4 billion of goodwill from FirstBank. Full-year NII guidance of +15% to +15.5% versus 2025, issued July 15, 2026, is the most consequential forward statement in the filing: it commits PNC to sustained NIM expansion driven by fixed-rate asset repricing and commercial loan growth, not rate cuts.
